The L200 space is run by the L200 Verein through 100% voluntary work. Sharing the space between many actors helps us to cover the rent with very low prices for everyone, and build a diverse and vibrant community! The Verein L200 does not sell any product or services, but only manages the membership and usage fees. Commercial activity takes place only by members during their events, for which no commission is requested by the Verein.
Since December 2025, a new sustainability and pricing model has been developed and put under experimental use until March 2026, as follows:
Standard usage
The following are the base prices for using the space at different times of the day. Additional fees apply for different forms of engagement with the association, non-member, member, placeholder (see below).
Note: Companies and Institutional renters are determined by the L200 prior to renting. Generally, we look at the individual case and determine whether it is a company that is for-profit or an institution which has a large enough budget. The less pricey rent can be considered a rent we want to provide to people supplying the neighbourhood with diversity and interesting events. The more expensive rent is one that is oriented on market prices.
Packages, reductions, and special requests
- More than three consecutive days: -10%
- Small groups(>12 People): -25%
- Minimum prices for evening events is 150.-
Special needs, like heavy interventions in the room are discussed case by case. It is also possible to rent one or more windows which are public facing on a busy road with lots of foot traffic. So if you have any special wishes and desires, do not hesitate and send us your inquiry.
Engagement
There are three different ways to engage with the L200 Verein according to your needs and capabilities:
1) External user
You can now use the L200 space for hosting your events and activities without being a Verein member under two conditions: One of the existing L200 spaceholders agrees to host your event and take the responsibility of it. You should pay an additional fee:
- 50 CHF / day for individuals or non-profit organizations
- 100 CHF / day for companies and institutions
2) Member
Verein members are above all supporters of L200 and its values and objectives. In addition, all members can freely host any type of event or activity without approval and without paying an extra fee. They have also a decision-making power for shaping the space’s identity and rules, during the annual General Assembly, and also access to a variety of members-only community and networking events organized by the Verein. Finally, their activities can be promoted in our windows and online communication.
Membership fee:
- 50 CHF / year as an individual
- 100 CHF / year as an organization

3) Spaceholder
Spaceholders are special members that commit to a certain amount of space usage during a year for which they pay in advance. The paid amount is considered a usage credit, which can also be transferred to the next year or to another member. You will not lose your money if you don’t use the space as much as expected!
In addition to becoming a key supporter of L200, two additional benefits offered to spaceholders are the following:
- the possibility to host events and add the extra payment to your own credit
- the possibility to use the space for free when it is not in use.
- priority in reservations and promotion
